PracticeVeterinary performs optimally when you are connected using a DSL, cable modem, or faster connection. Check with the ISPs (Internet Service Providers) in your area to find out what services are available.

SolidSource adds an extra level of reliability and performance with the Insured Connectivity Optimization (ICO) box. The ICO box allows uninterrupted access to PracticeVeterinary, even when your Internet connection is not working. In addition, it also guarantees high speed performance at all times, even during peak Internet usage when your connection may slow down. As always, your records are still backed up at our data center when your Internet connection is restored to ensure its complete protection.

Workstations
SolidSource recommends use of Personal Computers (PCs)in each area where access to PracticeVeterinary is essential. Alternatively you can use wireless Tablet PCs to access PracticeVeterinary. Use of Laser printer in the Front Office and a Label printer near the Pharmacy area in your Back Office is also recommended.

Local Area Network (LAN)
All the workstation PCs need to be networked in a LAN configuration using a LAN Switch. The internet connectivity is shared among all the networked PCs using a Router. The Router should be enabled with a firewall protection for security purposes.
